According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets, and Boston Celtics are potential suitors for the talented guard. Notably, Walker participated in a training camp with the Celtics, which may enhance their interest in acquiring him.
Despite declining a G League contract with the Maine Red Claws, Walker remains optimistic about his career trajectory, expressing his belief in timing and self-confidence on social media. At just 25 years old, he feels that his journey is far from over, stating, "The marathon continues. I know the stars will align. Self-belief is the best belief."
During his time with Žalgiris Kaunas, Walker has been impressive, averaging 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists over 11 games, with shooting percentages of 43.7% from the field and 36.8% from three-point range. Walker was drafted 18th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft after playing at the University of Miami. He previously played for the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers, before his recent stint with the Celtics, where he averaged 9.7 points per game.
