The Dallas Mavericks are actively seeking to enhance their roster depth during the offseason. After securing D'Angelo Russell and the first overall pick, Cooper Flagg, the Mavericks are considering additional acquisitions, including Cleveland Cavaliers sharpshooter Dean Wade. Reports indicate interest from Charlotte Hornets and Washington Wizards as well. Wade, who has spent his entire six-year career with the Cavaliers, averaged 5.4 points last season, shooting 36% from beyond the arc.
Given the Mavericks' already strong frontcourt, which includes talents like Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II, Wade would serve primarily as a depth addition. However, adding a quality shooter like Wade off the bench could provide a strategic advantage for a team poised to compete in the Western Conference, especially after trading away Luka Doncic last season.
