Vlade Divac, a former Los Angeles Lakers center, recently underwent emergency surgery after suffering a hip fracture in a motorcycle accident in Montenegro. The 57-year-old Serbian was involved in the incident on a road near the Adriatic Sea coast. Hospital officials confirmed that he is in stable condition after having an artificial hip implanted during surgery.

Divac, who played for the Lakers from 1989 to 1996 and briefly returned in 2004, is remembered for his versatility as one of the early successful European players in the NBA. Known for his passing and scoring ability, he averaged 11.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.4 blocks over his career. He was instrumental in the Lakers' transition post-Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and went on to have significant success with the Sacramento Kings.
