The Timberwolves, who are looking to navigate the luxury tax restrictions, receive a 2027 second-round pick and a cash sum from the Hawks in exchange.

Additionally, the Timberwolves have lost Luka Garza, who signed a two-year contract with the Boston Celtics. Garza’s work ethic was always praised, although his playing time remained limited. Meanwhile, Minnesota has 13 players under contract for the upcoming season and approximately $7 million in cap space, needing to fill at least one more roster spot.
