Jalen Stroman, a former safety for Virginia Tech, has officially committed to transferring to Notre Dame. After suffering a season-ending shoulder injury early in the 2024 season against Vanderbilt, he still retains two years of eligibility. During his last two seasons with the Hokies, he accumulated 98 tackles, forced two fumbles, and defended four passes. In total, he has recorded 111 tackles in 36 games throughout his Hokies career.
Stroman, who is 6-foot-1 and weighs 187 pounds, had garnered interest from several programs, including LSU and Michigan. Notably, he is the younger brother of Greg Stroman Jr., who currently plays for the New York Giants. In practice for the upcoming season, Stroman might find himself matched up against Malachi Fields, a former Virginia standout receiver who previously committed to Notre Dame.
