This agreement comes as Lohrei was set to be a restricted free agent on July 1. The 24-year-old defenseman had a breakout season, setting personal bests with five goals, 28 assists, and 33 points in 77 games, leading all Bruins defensemen in assists and power-play points.

Drafted by the Bruins in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Lohrei has accumulated 46 points over 118 regular-season games and has contributed significantly in the playoffs with four points in 11 games.
