Bouchard's impressive performance over the past two seasons, including a stellar 64 points last season and a remarkable playoff showing, warrants his new contract, making him the NHL's fourth-highest-paid defenseman.

Along with Bouchard, the Oilers have also re-signed winger Kasperi Kapanen and center Noah Philp.
