The Anaheim Ducks have announced a trade with the San Jose Sharks, acquiring forward Justin Bailey in exchange for Pavol Regenda. Bailey, now 29, has spent this year playing for the San Jose Barracuda in the AHL, where he has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 33 games this season. Throughout his career, he has competed in 141 NHL games, accumulating 23 points, which includes stints with the Buffalo Sabres, Philadelphia Flyers, and Vancouver Canucks, having been drafted in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft. Regenda, 25, has also been active in the AHL with the San Diego Gulls, totaling 16 points this season. His NHL experience has seen him score three points across 19 games with the Ducks.
