The New York Rangers have inked veteran forward Conor Sheary to a professional tryout deal, a reunion with head coach Mike Sullivan, with whom he won two Stanley Cups at Pittsburgh. Sheary, 33, aims to revitalize his NHL career after a subpar season with Tampa Bay, where he played only five games and spent most of the year in the AHL. Despite a strong showing with the Syracuse Crunch, tallying 61 points in 59 games, his previous contract with Tampa was mutually terminated.
