Cal Burke initiated the scoring, netting the first goal with assists from Brendan Brisson and Christoffer Sedoff. The intensity increased as the Golden Knights limited the Sharks' chances while adding two more goals in the second period.

Despite a late surge from San Jose, including goals from Macklin Celebrini and Tyler Toffoli, Tanner Pearson secured the game with an empty netter for Vegas.
