Washington Capitals prospect Cam Allen has found himself in serious trouble following an impaired-driving incident in London, Ontario over the weekend. The 20-year-old defenseman, who was a fifth-round pick by the Capitals in the 2023 NHL Draft, reportedly drove while intoxicated and crashed a vehicle, resulting in minor injuries to a passenger. He left the scene and is now facing five criminal charges with a court appearance set for March 6.

Despite this setback, Allen has been performing well in the Ontario Hockey League, tallying 42 points in 45 games for the London Knights this season. The Capitals organization is aware of the situation but has chosen to withhold further comment due to the ongoing legal proceedings.
