His leadership saw the Washington Capitals finish with a strong record of 51-22-9, garnering 111 points and securing the top seed in the Eastern Conference for the first time since the 2016-17 season. Carbery’s victory marks a historic milestone, as he’s the first individual to win coach-of-the-year honors at the ECHL, AHL, and NHL levels.

Scott Arniel from the Winnipeg Jets trailed in the voting with 249 points, having led his team to their first-ever Presidents’ Trophy with a record of 56-22-4 (116 points). Meanwhile, Martin St. Louis of the Montreal Canadiens secured third place, earning the team its first playoff berth since the 2020-21 season and the best overall record since the 2018-19 season with a record of 40-31-11 (91 points).
