The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Gabriel Vilardi to a six-year, $45 million extension. Vilardi, who recently finished a two-year deal, enjoyed a breakout performance in the 2024-25 season, tallying 27 goals and 34 assists in 71 games. Despite missing significant time due to injury, he still made an impact during the playoffs with four points in nine games. Acquired in a trade from the Los Angeles Kings in June 2023 that sent Pierre-Luc Dubois to L.A., Vilardi has shown potential with a total of 90 goals in 270 career NHL games.
