Devers, who has struggled defensively at third base, has made a significant impact offensively with a .279 batting average and over 200 home runs in his career.

Despite signing a lucrative 10-year contract worth $313.5 million, Devers led the league in errors at third base for seven consecutive seasons. Cora believes that having Bregman behind Devers in the batting order will be beneficial and expects a strong performance from him this year. The change also opens the door for Masataka Yoshida, who will need to adjust after previously serving as the team's DH.
