He previously missed 46 games in 2023 with a similar ailment and struggled during spring training with hip inflammation. Last season, he played 106 games, hitting .241 with 10 home runs and 25 stolen bases. To fill his roster spot, the Rays recalled Jake Mangum from Triple-A Durham.
