Kansas City Royals have signed utility player Cavan Biggio to a minor league contract. The 29-year-old, son of Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, debuted with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2019 and has since had a tumultuous journey through MLB.

Biggio was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in June but was released in August. Shortly after, he signed with the San Francisco Giants, only to be traded again to the Atlanta Braves in September. He opted for free agency at the beginning of November.

Throughout his career, Biggio has maintained a .225 batting average, hitting 51 home runs, tallying 186 RBIs, and stealing 32 bases. His previous season saw him struggle, with a .197 average, five home runs, and 19 RBIs in 78 games.
