The Houston Texans have made significant moves to bolster their offensive line at the start of the 2025 NFL free agency period. The team traded away two key starters, Laremy Tunsil and Kenyon Green, as part of their strategy to retool. In a response to Green's departure to the Philadelphia Eagles, Houston acquired Ed Ingram from the Minnesota Vikings, parting with a sixth-round pick in the 2026 draft. Ingram, a former second-round pick with experience starting 41 games over three seasons, is expected to fill the right guard position left vacant by Tunsil.

The Texans have also signed veteran Laken Tomlinson to further enhance their interior offensive line, ensuring better protection for quarterback C.J. Stroud. Meanwhile, the Vikings have made their own investments into their offensive line, signing center Ryan Kelly and guard Will Fries from the Indianapolis Colts, indicating a shift towards improving their roster as well.
