The New York Giants have placed offensive lineman Jon Runyan Jr. on injured reserve due to an ankle injury sustained in a recent loss. Coach Brian Daboll indicated that Runyan's recovery could take longer than expected. This marks Runyan's first career games missed due to injury, making him the second starting lineman on IR this season, alongside Andrew Thomas.
To fill the gap, Aaron Stinnie will step in at left guard, while quarterback Tim Boyle has been signed from the practice squad to back up starter Tommy DeVito. Additionally, defensive back Raheem Layne has been elevated to provide depth after rookie Tyler Nubin was placed on IR.
