In a statement, he challenged critics of the play, urging them to improve their defense if they cannot stop it. The Eagles executed the "Tush Push" with remarkable success last season, converting 39 out of 48 attempts for first downs or touchdowns, a feat highlighted during their Super Bowl LIX triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs.

However, the future of the "Tush Push" is uncertain as NFL owners recently voted on its legality, with 16 voting to outlaw it. It would take a significant shift in opinion among the owners for the play to be preserved, as 75% support is needed for any rule to pass. Consequently, Barkley is keen to see the play remain, given its pivotal role in his career and the Eagles’ offensive strategy.
