Allen Americans forward Orca Wiesblatt dies at 25, team announces

Orca Wiesblatt, 25, of the Allen Americans, died in a weekend vehicle crash in Canada. Signed in August, he previously starred for Athens Rock Lobsters (42 points: 17 goals, 25 assists). Wiesblatt began pro hockey with Pensacola Ice Flyers in 2023-24. His brother Ozzy Wiesblatt, drafted by the Sharks in 2020, made his NHL debut last season with the Nashville Predators. Allen will tribute him Oct. 24 vs Kansas City Mavericks.
