Williams, originally drafted as a defensive back in the 2021 NFL Draft, transitioned to running back under the previous coaching staff, but his forte has clearly become returning kicks.

In 2022, he returned 20 punts for 185 yards and had 15 kickoff returns accumulating 408 yards, averaging an impressive 27.2 yards per kickoff return. Despite his limited offensive touches, with just 22 carries for 109 yards and one touchdown throughout his career, Williams has proven to be a valuable asset in the return game.

The Eagles aim to solidify their special teams unit with this addition, especially as they prepare for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, the Falcons have bolstered their roster by re-signing wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge, who also contributes on special teams.
