In a significant law enforcement operation targeting human trafficking, over 250 individuals were arrested, including former NFL linebacker Adarius Taylor. This multi-agency initiative, dubbed 'Operation Fool Around and Find Out,' took place in early May, involving collaborations from local and federal agencies. Taylor, previously with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, and Cleveland Browns, faces serious charges, including felony negligent child abuse after bringing his young child to the sting site. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd criticized Taylor's actions, indicating a troubling lapse in judgment.

The larger operation led to 255 arrests, primarily for solicitation-related offenses. The sheriff's office reported that of those arrested, a significant number were charged with soliciting or offering prostitution, with four individuals identified as potential victims of human trafficking. This serious issue continues to be a focal point for law enforcement.
