The Chicago Bears continue to enhance their roster, recently signing veteran wide receiver Miles Boykin and cornerback Shaun Wade to one-year contracts. Boykin, a local product and former Notre Dame standout, was picked in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. His early career showed promise, amassing 464 yards and seven touchdowns in his initial two seasons. However, he struggled to maintain that momentum, spending the last two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and primarily on the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad. Boykin will now vie for a spot on the Bears' roster this training camp.

Shaun Wade, who was drafted by the Ravens in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, has had a more turbulent path. He was traded to the New England Patriots before ever taking a snap for Baltimore. Wade had limited playtime with the Patriots in his first two seasons but emerged as a significant contributor in 2023, compiling 23 total tackles and one pass breakup in 14 games. After spending the 2024 season on the practice squad of the Los Angeles Chargers, Wade will also compete for a position in the Bears' secondary.
